I designed and built the entire home. Most log homes have wood everywhere, or wood paneling. However, when you enter my home, there is a very low 7’ tin ceiling with no wood at all, which leads into the living room with its 30’ high ceilings and large windows. The room simply “explodes” with space. In the living room and master bedroom, all four walls are log, which is an extra expense, but really makes the room feel like a whole entity to itself. I love working with metals. My kitchen cabinets are faced in galvanized steel. And in the bathroom, the antique copper tub and reclaimed wide plank floors with a special painting technique makes the room seem to be right out of the old west.
