NYC Duplex - Another total renovation of a brownstone making a duplex for the owner with rental unit above. Most importantly, I kept the master bedroom light and by using mirrors so you do not feel like you are in the basement. The use of a freestanding wall allowed for TV, closets and dressing area behind. By creating the freestanding wall, there is a greater sense of space in the bedroom.
NYC Pied a Terre - The client loved flea markets and antique collections. The apt has an eclectic and an old European sensibility. The bedroom is small, 8’x 11,’ but by using minimal furniture and an antique wood paneled wall behind the bed, I was able to make the space feel spacious. The bathroom is all marble and the entire room is an open European stall shower The sink is made of a stainless steel mixing bowl suspended from the wall.
